About Guy’s Gift

Guy’s Gift supports children, young people and families who are experiencing bereavement, loss and change. Our work is rooted in compassion, respect and the belief that every child deserves support during difficult times.

We are now looking for a Fundraiser to help develop and sustain the income that makes our work possible. This role will focus on building relationships with funders, businesses and community partners, identifying new funding opportunities and securing the support needed to continue delivering bereavement support to children and young people across Coventry and Warwickshire.

About the Role

This role plays an important part in securing the funding Guy’s Gift needs to deliver its services and reach children and young people affected by bereavement.

Working closely with the Operations Manager and wider team, the post holder will develop and maintain relationships with charitable trusts and foundations, corporate supporters and other potential funders. You will identify funding opportunities, prepare compelling applications and proposals, and help develop longer-term relationships that support sustainable income generation.

A central aspect of the role is building and maintaining positive relationships. This includes understanding funders’ priorities, communicating the impact of Guy’s Gift’s work and ensuring supporters receive appropriate updates and information about the difference their funding makes.

You will also contribute to developing fundraising opportunities, researching prospective funders and businesses, and maintaining accurate records of fundraising activity, applications, deadlines and outcomes. The role requires someone who can work proactively and independently, manage competing priorities and take a practical approach to fundraising within a small charity.

You will be joining a small, supportive team where collaboration, initiative and a shared commitment to supporting bereaved children and young people are central to how we work.

This is an opportunity to help secure the resources that enable Guy’s Gift to continue providing vital bereavement support across the local community.
