Safeguarding Update Training

If you work directly with children and young people (CYP), completing safeguarding training at least once every 12 months is essential. This short annual update helps you keep your knowledge current and ensures you are confident in recognising, responding to and reporting safeguarding concerns.

The session will cover:

  • Key safeguarding responsibilities when working with children and young people

  • Recognising signs of abuse, neglect and other safeguarding concerns

  • What to do if a child or young person tells you something that concerns you

  • How and when to report a concern

  • Professional boundaries and safe practice

  • Current safeguarding issues, guidance and expectations

The update is relevant to all Guy’s Gift volunteers who have direct contact with children and young people and must be completed at least annually.
